The site occupies the corner of a major residential
development along the northern approach to the
Blackwall Tunnel in East London. The Planning Authority are looking for a ‘landmark’ building to occupy the site.
The 2/3 star ‘budget’ Hotel comprises 140 bedrooms, restaurant, lounge bar and meetings facilities with designated staff accommodation and associated parking. The hotel is to be operated by Groupe Envergure under their “Campanile” brand.
The building is arranged over 7 stories with basement parking. Public facilities are arranged at ground floor level with guest accommodation occupying the upper floors. The glazed tower wraps the corner and contains the main vertical circulation routes. Executive suites are located on the top floor.
