Architecture Limited were appointed by the Coombe Trust to complete the design and implementation of their first Care Respite and Day Centre for disabled children. We helped to guide the process of statutory approvals and all the necessary pre-registration approval process with Lewisham Social Services. The former residential building has been extended to include three single and two double bedrooms, kitchen and dining facilities, two assisted bathrooms, one ambulant disabled bathroom, treatment area, office and lounge. The Day Centre which can be accessed seperately includes a playroom, sensory room and disabled toilet facilities. The Coombe Trust hope to use the model created at Crantock Road for further Respite and Day Centres in the future.
