We were approached by the
owner of this grade II listed Georgian townhouse
and asked to look at a adding a new conservatory
to the rear of the property. The client was
keen to improve on a conservatory which had
been added in the 1970’s, while improving
access into the garden and creating a new
addition to the rear elevation
which would not interfere with the composition
of the listed Georgian facade. |
 |
| Our solution removed the
existing conservatory and replaced it with
a simple glass structure which includes a
new obscured glass roof over the existing
WC and a new access into the garden. The aim
was to bring together the fragmented lower
section of the facade by using a unifying
glass element which enhanced the character
of the original facade whilst providing unobscured
views to the garden. |
