Architecture Limited were invited to take part in this limited competition to provide additional office, conference and entertainment space for MTV’s offices at UK House on Oxford Street in London. Proposals provided a mix of open plan and cellular office accommodation, a conference suite and multi-purpose entertainment and exhibition space within the south l ightwell of the building. In recognition of MTV’s desire to display their innovative image, the scheme proposed the use of lightweight and translucent materials to retain the maximum amount of light entering the building and made use of an inflatable structure which enclosed the Conference suite and cellular office accommodation.
