Sufficient heat is rejected when power stations generate electricity, to heat every city in the United Kingdom. The use of this heat is enormously beneficial to the environment and in enabling Local Authorities and the government to meet their Home Energy Conservation Act targets.
Architecture Limited is involved in the upgrading of
existing district heating systems to Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems to provide residents with reliable modern heating and hot water with low bills. At the same time this system uses the waste heat, which can be carbon free, to reduce the Landlord's costs and contribute
substantially to government carbon saving, Kyoto and HECA targets.
Studies funded by the Energy Savings Trust have
demonstrated that the application of this system will give greater environmental benefits and carbon savings than could be achieved by other methods such as increased insulation of the buildings.
